Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of families with seriously ill children? If so, hosting a community event or online fundraiser is a fantastic way to contribute and make a meaningful impact.
RMHCA welcomes and appreciates our community’s initiatives to help promote awareness and raise funding for our programs. With your time and support, our team can continue to provide vital support to families in need.
By hosting a fundraiser, you can play an essential role in ensuring that RMHCA can provide accommodations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at our Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham and our Ronald McDonald Family Room at UAB Women & Infants Center.
There are countless ways you can organize a fundraiser to benefit RMHCA.
Whether it’s a bake sale, a charity run, a themed event, or a virtual fundraiser, the possibilities are endless. Your creativity and passion can help in creating a positive impact and bringing the community together in support of this vital cause.
This fall, you might consider these 2 easy ways to fundraise:
Start a Birthday Fundraiser on Facebook or on your Instagram
- Social media fundraisers are easy because you and your supporters can help from wherever you are!
- On Instagram: visit our profile @rmhcalabama; click/tap the “Support” button to start your fundraiser.
- On Facebook (mobile device): In the app, search “Fundraisers” and click on the shortcut. Then you can search for RMHC of Alabama and follow the prompts to get set up!
- On Facebook (desktop): From the homepage, click on “Fundraisers” in the left-hand shortcuts column. Follow the prompts to get set up!
Organize a sports tournament
- One of our supporters is hosting a volleyball invitational to raise funds this fall. They will donate the proceeds from ticket sales and any additional donations to our mission. Tournaments can be hosted at your community park or gym, and some faith organizations may let you use their facilities as well.
We encourage you to take the first step and consider hosting a fundraiser for RMHCA. Your dedication and support can go a long way in ensuring that RMHCA can continue its essential work of providing comfort, care, and support to families in challenging times.
To help you, download the Community Events Toolkit! It’s chock full of ideas and resources to get you started, as well as contact information for our staff liason to community events.
If you’re hosting an event, please let us know! It helps us track and thank your generous efforts, and allows us to offer support when we can.
Prior to your event, a required approval from RMHCA’s Chief Executive Officer is needed in order to proceed with the event using our logo or mentioning our organization. Once your application is received, expect a response within 2 business days.
Together, we can create a wave of positive change and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families with seriously ill children. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to the well-being of our community.
