Supporters played like the pros at the 2024 RMHCA Golf Classic, presented by Hudson Company! The real winners though were the guest families and children served by RMHCA.
This year’s classic has raised $97,194 which will help cover 777 nights of comfort and care. RMHCA serves families at the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room at UAB Women & Infant’s Center.
We are so grateful to presenting sponsor Hudson Company, our many other sponsors, and the 116 golfers who came together to have fun and raise funds for our mission on May 20 at Greystone Golf & Country Club. The addition of our friends from the NFL Players Association Birmingham Chapter made for a memorable start to the day at an exclusive brunch!
Because of this generosity, our services remain free to guest families. They play a critical role in the financial and emotional well-being of families with sick children.
At the Ronald McDonald House, families have a private room for a good night’s rest, just one block from the hospital. They can stay on top of appointments, medical plans and meetings with medical staff.
Back at the House, families will also find a network of support to lean on as well as snacks, volunteer-provided meals, laundry areas and much more. Our second program, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at UAB Women & Infants Center, allows us to provide similar hospitality to NICU parents. In the Family Room, parents can rest in a sleep room, shower, do laundry, talk about their day with other parents, and grab a bite to eat.
