WHNT‘s Chief Meterologist Jason Simpson and his wife Lacey received news they never thought they would when their son Brody was born on May 8th, 2015. It is whirlwind stories just like this one that often lead families to RMHCA. With everything happening so quickly, the parents’ focus should remain on the child. That is part of why we take our role very seriously – the families need support too. We provide a home away from home for them by providing essentials and taking care of the day to day tasks so they can remain focused on what is most important, their child.
You can read the full story from Jason himself on WHNT’s blog: A personal note from WHNT Chief Meteorologist Jason Simpson about son Brody.
It is important to remember, family centered care does not stop at the hospital and as Jason said, it is because of our donors that we can give families a close, comfortable place to lay their heads during the biggest trial of their lives.
Update: Brody’s Story: WHNT meteorologist and family talk about son’s miracle journey
We want to thank Jason for having the courage to share his story with the world. His story will help many who have been or could be in the same situation. If you have a story about how a Ronald McDonald House affected you, we would be honored to share them – email [email protected].
