History on The Lyla Ride: Seven years ago the Pastor at Cedar Grove Baptist Church had a very sick little granddaughter named Lyla. The family went all over the U.S. seeking treatment for Lyla, staying in several Ronald McDonald Houses.
The first year of Lyla’s life was very tough.  It was hard on the family financially, so the F.A.I.T.H. Riders at Cedar Grove Baptist Church put on The Ride For Lyla, with all proceeds going to the family. Now thanks to our Heavenly Father, Lyla is a bouncy bubble little 7-year-old.  After her first year of sickness and then the great improvement of her health, the F.A.I.T.H. Riders decided to continue on with the ride and gave it a new name with all the proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. It’s now called The Lyla Ride and it takes place on the in April each year. The F.A.I.T.H. Riders have donated more than $6,800 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama in the last four years.
You can be a part of this great event and help in their mission of keeping families together when they need it most!
