This February, our Junior Board held their signature event, the 8th Annual Red Stiletto Party which raised over $8,000 for the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham. The event included a cocktail hour, fashion show, silent auction and a unique shopping experience at the fashion bar all while educating those in attendance on the mission of the House!
At Sloss Furnaces’ new Visitor’s Center, some hot names in Birmingham hit the runway including Lauren Walsh (ABC 33/40 Reporter), Meagan Thomas (ABC 33/40 Meteorologist), Jamie Langley (WIAT 42 Anchor), Richard Danner (YP Executive Board Member), several RMHCA Board of Director members and many more.
Cliff Nail, RMHCA Junior Board president reflected on the event, “I’m continually elated with the preparation, collaboration, and creativity of the young professionals on our Junior Board. Planning an event of this caliber with the expectation of outperforming the previous years’ results is challenging, but our team’s passion for this exemplary cause provides the momentum needed to rise to the occasion and exceed expectations. I’m eager to see our team’s ingenuity shine through as we inch closer towards the decennial mark of our signature event.”
