McDonald’s
McDonald’s Corporation is the Founding and Forever Mission Partner of the RMHC system. Over 400 RMHC Programs are operated worldwide, each governed by their own Board of Directors.
The owner/operators, crew and suppliers of our local McDonald’s restaurants have been tremendous supporters of our House since the beginning. Our co-founder, Max Cooper, spearheaded the leadership gift that helped make our first House possible back in 1979. Since then, they have been some of our strongest advocates, serving on our Board and championing our mission to their customers through fundraisers like Round-Up for RMHC and Happy Meals.
Children’s of Alabama
Our co-founder, Marianne Sharbel, worked at Children’s of Alabama in the 1970s and saw firsthand the desperate need of families. Her passion and leadership brought like-minded hospital leaders and staff into the plans for the first Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham.
The leadership of the hospital continues to support RMHC of Alabama by serving on the Board of Directors and providing crucial resources to reduce operating costs. The social workers play an important role in referring families to our programs. RMHCA is proud to be a partner with Children’s of Alabama by providing Family Centered Care.
