Since joining the team in October of 2023, Cynthia D. (pictured left) has accumulated more than 62 hours of dedicated volunteer service! Though officially a Guest Services volunteer, she is always ready to jump in, no matter the task.
From corralling supplies for the annual holiday party to sorting donations and completing administrative tasks each week, Cynthia makes a positive impact on guest families every time she steps through our doors.

Volunteering then…
Cynthia was originally introduced to the mission of RMHCA by her mom, a member of the Eastern Stars True Friends Chapter #627 and Friendly Sisters Chapter #28. She loved volunteering with her family years ago!
Volunteering now…
With a heart for our mission and a future career in the medical field in mind, Cynthia decided to join RMHCA as a weekly volunteer. She loves the personal relationships she’s developed with families, and the excitement families get by seeing friendly faces after a long day.
Managing the Art Cart during the Easter Egg-Stravaganza is her favorite memory so far.
“I was a tad bit nervous at first because I thought they wouldn’t like [the crafts I planned] but they were a big hit! We made bunny ear headbands and bunnies by tracing our hands, which eventually turned into all of us painting and drawing for hours! To see how many kids were excited and receiving many drawings from them were so nice and made my day,” she says!
If Cynthia has inspired you to get involved, please consider making a gift to fund our mission or learn more about volunteering!
