Volunteers Make a Huge Impact on Our Families!
Individual Volunteers bring dedicated and selfless service to the families of the Ronald McDonald House. We depend on volunteers for assistance with a variety of tasks such as cleaning our common areas, organizing donations, sorting pop tabs, preparing meals, and so much more. Individuals lend a helping hand on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for at least six (6) months of service.

Happy Wheels Cart
The RMHCA Happy Wheels Cart delivers the comfort and care provided by the Ronald McDonald House to children and families while they’re at Children’s of Alabama. Happy Wheels Cart volunteers move throughout the hospital to offer items such as drinks, snacks, and age-appropriate activities and toys to patients, siblings and their caregivers.
This volunteering opportunity is conducted in partnership with Children’s of Alabama, and interested volunteers must complete the onboarding process of both organizations.
Please contact Programs & Activities Manager, Zelma-Mae Cable, directly to express interest and get started!
