Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Day of Change 2019! Whether you got a t-shirt, shared a selfie on social media, dropped your change or did Round-up for RMHC at your local McDonald’s you have made a huge impact in sharing our mission which really helps families!
In fact, all of the fundraising efforts this year raised $7,800 for RMHCA’s mission. That will help us give comfort and care to 6 families – at no cost to them. That means 6 more families will be able to stay near their child in the hospital thanks to you.
Now for the fun part! We visited 6 McDonald’s across the state to celebrate and collect change in the drive-thru. We always look out for the most spirited locations and this year it was a tie!
Congrats to Scottsboro and Heflin for pulling out all the stops to make Day of Change special.
And you’re probably wondering which store raised the most funds. Drum roll please….congrats to Hoover! They raised $1,373!
Our next top fundraising locations were Hueytown with $1,142 and Enterprise with $1,085. This is the first year we’ve had three locations raise more than $1,000. To make it even more fun, the volunteers at Hueytown and Hoover were competing to see who could collect the most donations.
Thank you again to all of our supporters who showed that change is good. But you don’t have to stop with Day of Change! We hope you will continue sharing our mission and dropping your change or opting to Round-up for RMHC whenever you visit your local McDonald’s.
